We spent a couple of days working on electronics on the boat. Dave DeVos came to Traverse City to fix the AIS and add a new depth finder. He also fixed our TV, now we will be able to watch some sports without going to a bar.

We took advantage of the rental car and drove to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park. This is fabulous place. We parked the car and hike over the dunes to Lake Michigan. It was quite a hike through the sand, but so worth it. We probably chose the longer path because the shoreline we ended up with had not been visited by anyone else that day. Later we stopped at another spot in the park where hundreds of folks had made the trip down to the water. We had used up our energy earlier so we just got some pictures.

We drove back stopped at a restaurant overlooking Traverse Bay and then for some Ice Cream at The Dairy Lodge.

We had one last day in Traverse City and caught up on some maintenance and made a few trips to West Marine and Home Depot.
