We got back into Looping again today. It took a while to get moving but by 9 am we left the docks. It was a 6 hour cruise to South Manitou Island. The boat performed great except we still have an issue with the starboard Stabilizer Fin, it is hard to pin since we hit something a month ago. The boat was listing to starboard because it was unpinned. We turned on the stabilizers and the boat leveled out.

We had traded text messages with our friends Tara and Joe on Seabatical, they were headed to the same spot today. They were anchored when we arrived. We got the dinghy down and joined them on the beach. It was great to catch up, we had not seen them in a month. Beer and “Lemonade” on the beach. The Beach is a mixture of Sand and small Rocks, really nice. The water was so clear I could see our anchor in 15 feet of water.

We grilled out on our boat and made a plan to head out at 8 am for Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin.

This will be our longest open water crossing to date.  It is about 60 miles, and we know it can be really rough; the forecast is good so we are leaving. We may come back and explore this Island after we go to Door County.
