We had a very calm night at Anchor, 19 feet of water and 140 feet of chain; it was nice to be off the docks. The stars were beautiful over night. The Big Dipper just seems so close. The morning started with a eautiful sunrise.
We pulled the Anchor about 7:50 and it was perfectly clean thanks to the sandy bottom. The sea are about 1-2 feet. I am trying to blog as we travel. I got a Bluetooth key board for my iPad. Maybe this will get posted before September. The Big Lake is treating us great, nice and calm.
This is about a 60 mile crossing, we are over 1/2 way and all I can see is water and Seabatical. The only thing on the radar within a 12 mile scan is Seabatical.
The entrance into Sturgeon looked pretty cool. We were greeted by an old Chicago Fire boat. The weeds were pretty bad as we approached the marina, they had a little boat out cutting the weeds.
We stayed at the Quarterdeck Marina. We got dinner with Tara and Joe at Kitty’s Irish Pub. Beware of the Jalapenos if you don’t like them VERY HOT. We made plans to head to Nicolet Bay in the morning.
