I set a course for Menominee, Mi. This town is on the west shore of Green Bay and on the State boarder with Wisconsin. We got out the bikes and rode across the small bridge into Wisconsin, got to love the old signs on the taverns. The cow art was in Michigan. We only intended to stay here for a day but the Marina was so nice and the dinner at Berg’s so good we stayed another day.
This Marina has the best boater’s lounge we have seen so far. They also provide free loaner bikes and have a very reasonable fee with electricity.
We meet a couple on “Mara Beel”, Mark and Becky, that are planning to start the loop in a few years and have bought a boat for the trip. They were doing their first cruise away from theirs port in Sturgeon Bay. They turned out to be friends of Pat and Ken, 20Buck$. Mark called Ken and we shared a few laughs together. We had originally planned on going to Berg’s again for dinner but some local said that Table Six was also very good. Mark and Becky joined us for dinner. The food was just ok, but the company was terrific.
The boat needed some TLC and WAX so we set up service with the Marina in Manitowoc and changed our plans to make the run to Manitowoc directly the next day. This would be a long trip of about 65 miles.
