We had such a nice dinner last night we had decided to hang around Vergennes another day. But the weather forecast was for the winds to pick up in the afternoon and stay high for several days, so we decided to leave and head to Burlington. It was early morning as we headed out Otter Creak so I got out my tripod and larger lens and hoped to find some birds. I was Blessed with a few good opportunities.

When we got out onto Lake Champlain the winds had not picked up much but by the time we reached the Community Boathouse in Burlington it had increased to 15 knots. We were glad over the next few days that we were tied up in a marina.

Burlington is a very nice city and it gave us a few days to be sure we had everything ready to go into Canada. We had to get some more maps for the chart plotter for Canada. It has a really nice outdoor are, Church Steet Marketplace, a for restaurants and some shopping that is only a short walk from the marina.

There are several colleges in the area and it was a nice hilly walk around the area. Reminded me of Atlanta, except the old Frat houses looked to be in a little better shape than back in the day.
