We got an early start at 7:30  to be at the next lock before 8:30, but forgot about the swing bridge a mile ahead, so we waited at the bridge for 45 minutes.

The rest of the day went well lots of locks on the way to Buckhorn. Lots of beautiful scenery and homes. We went through Lock 30, Lovesick. the lock master offered to take our pictures and told the story of the lock name. An Indian had lost his girl and came to the Island to die. The story goes that his tribe came after him within a week and nursed him back to health.

We got to Buckhorn and enjoyed a quick evening on the lock wall. Took some pictures of a bug for my grandson Knox.
