We got an early start today but got held up by fog that rolled in and then locks. The locks are so close 5-8 miles that they will not lower you to the next pool if another boater is coming. They will hold you up to two hours. There was a slower boat in the first lock when we arrived so they basically set the pace for the day. Sunset comes early now (4:50) so we planned on an anchorage at 4:30 We found an acnhorage in our Skipper Bob and on Active Captain, Acker Lake Cut-Off. I doubt we would have pulled into this narrow creek without some reference. We anchored in just 6 feet of water. That is the skinnest water we have anchored in on this trip. At least we did not need much scope because the creek was only about 150 feet wide.
