I got my friend Danny Hinson to help me move the boat to Chicago as Charlotte was healing fro so eye surgery and unable to fly. The Marina did a great job on the boat and one of the owners picked us up at the airport, we hope to see him in Chicago. I had original planed to take 3-4 days getting to Chicago with Danny but the weather forecast called for it to get pretty rough in a few days so as soon as we got to the Marina we headed south. I had lost my sea legs and Danny had a laugh as I turned green in the 2-3 foot surf. The prediction later in the week was for 8-10 feet.
We made the hop andgot in at sunset then went into town for dinner at Balzac. Dinner was great and weather was seasonal which in southern means COLD. It was not that bad but you can feel the seasons changing.
The next morning before we left we walked into town again looking for breakfast. The telephone poles here are used so much for posting notices that they have a paper skin. We found Peter Sciortino’s Bakery. Great breakfast and picked up lunch. 6 free rolls with 2 lbs of ham. Then headed to Chicago.
