We made our way to Merrickville, it was a beautiful morning. As the day went along it got really hot. We tied u p to the Wall in Merrickville to check out the town . When we were walking back to the boat we were surprised the Jackets II was above the road. Turns out the Dam and walls at the town are above the road.. Soon after we got there 20Buck$ caught up and we went sightseeing.
This town has some neat museums One showed some of the old mill equipment from before the Dam for hydro power. Next to it was an old generator form the Dam. It had been in use for nearly 80 years. The other was a Blockhouse, built in 1832 to guard the locks against American attacks
We checked out the town and had dinner with Pat and Ken. After dinner we got some Ice Cream and tried out a new lawn chair. It was a little big for the boat.
We walked down by the locks and watch the kids swimming. There are several locks together at this location and it makes a great swimming whole.
