It was a foggy morning as we left Peoria and the day went well and we had just short delays at the lock. If you’re not careful you will miss Tall Timber Marina, it is tucked away just off the river. I wondered if we would be able to get in but they assured us we could fit and they had over 4 feet of water. Well we fit but I am not so sure about the 4 feet of water. When we tried to use the stern thruster the boat did not budge, I suspect the keel was in the silt.
The marina was nice enough, first one we have been too with his and hers port lets on the dock. We walked into the town of Havana, very friendly folks and had a nice dinner at the Town House restaurant. Then went shopping on the way back to the boat.
