Quite a Day on the water….

Our guide book said that we would encounter our first large body of water today. The Neuse River and Pamlico Sound. Well the stabilizers worked well as we traveled in some pretty nasty conditions. 15-20 knot winds, 3-5 foot waves with a 5 second period. The first 1 1/2 hours was bumpy but the second 1 1/2 hours you had to be holding on. No need for the wipers as the waves were throwing “buckets of water” on the glass. I am sure without the stabilizers I would have been sea sick, after all I have been left at the infirmary at Disney and Epcot on family vacations more than once.
