Well I started the morning by feeling oil between my toes as I stepped into the engine room. Not a fun way to start the day. Oil was leaking from the Port Engine. After investigating I determined it was leaking behind the pulley from the cam shaft. It took a couple of hours to clean up the oil so we got a late start and ran mostly on one engine. The leak was a quart an hour at our normal pace (1650 rpm). A couple of calls and I was talking to Diesel Don. At first I asked to meet him at a Marina on the Tenn-Tomm, but he told me I could save his travel charge if I meet him at Goose Pond. Don ordered the part and would see me Friday morning in Goose Pond. I had heard Diesel Don’s name on the loop but couldn’t remember from who, later I was reminded that “Seabatical” had called him along the loop for help.
We anchored out with “Water Music” and had drinks on their boat. Joel and Debby are friends of Ken and Pat, “20Buck$”. We meet them briefly at the Rendezvous but it was nice to get to know them at anchor.
