We had another beautiful day on the water. Traveling up the canal with “20 Buck$”. The canal runs through farmland along the way. When we got to Whitehall we were blessed with a beautiful view of Skene Manor. The town provides a water and electrical. We decided to stay a second day so we could see the Museum and tour of Skene Manor. Got a chance to take a walk through the town and found something a yard sale I had not seen in Jacksonville.

The Museum is only open on weekends till June 18th, but when we asked a local woman about it they made arrangements for all of us, 20 Buck$ Blue Heron and Jackets II, to see it. It was really nice, folks in the town have donated a lot really cool things. They had a big collection of stereo pictures that we could look through.

Skene Manor has tour on Friday’s and a small restaurant. So we walked up the hill with Craig and Barbara. The town bought the Manor before it could be torn down and moved, the fate of two other mansions in the area. Volunteers provide the tour and run the restaurant. It was really cool place to eat. Our guide was in her 80′s and her eyes lit up as she told us about the Freeze Mural “Hawking” in the main hallway.

I was able to get the propane gas here so I took  the one cylinders we were using off and had it filled. When I put it back together the hose was leaking, so I took the hose to the gas supplier. He made me a new one in about 10 minutes. We were lucky there shop was only 1/4 mile from the town wall.
