We got into Georgetown early
and dock the boat at a public dock.
We used our phones and found a place to eat. “Trip Advisor and Yelp” are a great way to find good food on the road. We were not let down as we had Shrimp and Grits at a small restaurant, Thomas Cafe, on Front Street.
After brunch we went to the Rice Museum, and had a guide tour from a local woman. We had no idea what a significant role Rice had played in the southern economy.
We took a walk through town for some exercise, it has a lot of beautiful homes. Oh and the weather is perfect, about mid 70′s.
We decided to head out to another anchorage. The intrecoastal in this area is beautiful, the abandoned rice fields surround the waterways. This gave way to a waterway line with trees and very few homes.
